Trip itinerary

Day 1: Cusco City Tour

You will be greeted at the airport in Cusco by one of our representatives. During the drive from the airport to your Cusco hotel, you will pass many examples of Spanish colonial architecture built upon the remains of ancient Inca settlements. After arriving at your hotel, we advise you to take a rest for awhile to help yourself acclimatize to the altitude.
Your exploration of this remarkable city starts in the early afternoon with a guided Cusco tour. You will visit many of the amazing archaeological sites and wonders in and around the city, including the Cathedral (which is located on the Plaza de Armas, main square) and the ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Q'enko, Puka Pukara & Tambomachay.
You will return to your hotel in the late afternoon to enjoy a relaxing evening. Spend the evening at your leisure, enjoying the local cuisine and hospitality of the Cusco locals.

Day 02: Machu Picchu - Cusco

The day starts with an early morning rise to transfer to Cusco Train Station for a 3-hour train journey to the famous Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, also known as "The Lost City of the Incas", one of the most renowned examples of surviving Inca architecture. Arrival in Aguas Calientes train station for a 30-minute bus drive climbing 6km of winding road to the marvelous Citadel. Upon arrival, you will participate in a guided tour of the Citadel, visiting the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun-Dial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and various burial grounds. After the tour you'll have time to stroll around the Archaeological Site at your leisure. Lunch at a local restaurant and a late afternoon return to Cusco. Overnight in a selected hotel in Cusco.

Day 03: Cusco

After breakfast, transfer assistance on your departure.
