Cusco, a Peruvian region with  the most beautiful views of the world, surrounded by six mountains more than 6,000 meters high, is the oldest city in the Western Hemisphere and the cradle of the Inca civilization. Everywhere in the world it is known for the amazing archaeological ruins at Machu Picchu. Cusco is located in the southern part of Peru. With an area of 76,225 km2, the Department of Cusco is bordered on the North by the departments of Ucayali, on the South by Arequipa & Puno, on the East by Madre de Dios and on the West by Apurímac, Ayacucho & Junín. At present, after t he redistribution of the regions in 1988, it forms together with the departments of Madre de Dios and part of Apurímac, the region of the Incas.
The city of Cusco is located exactly in the western part of the river Watanay valley, at an altitude of 3,400m. (Plaza de Armas) and is considered one of the highest cities in the world. It is located at 13º 31'01.2'' South & 71º 58' 44.7'' West (Plaza de Armas) GMT and is one of the most important and historically significant cities of Peru.
City Tour Cusco, itinerary :
We will pick up from the hotel at 1:30 in the afternoon, after that we will start our City Tour. We will begin visiting the Koricancha, a wonderful Ceremonial construction built during the Incas heyday. Afterwards, we will visit the Cusco Cathedral. At the Cathedral, visitors may s ee beautiful old paintings, including the famous painting of th e Last Supper , showing Christ a nd the Apostles about to dine on CUY (local Guinea Pig). Later on, we wil l drive you to the northern outskirts of Cusco, towards the Inca buildings such as Sacsayhuaman.
Here, we will walk through huge Inca walls, built with massive rocks weighing up to 180 tons, well-fitted with absolute perfection. Then, we will move onto another important Inca site known as Qenqo, a strange place with subterranean passages, hiding in its interior perfect carved stone s where the Incas probably mummified their deads. To finish off our City tour, we will drive further up to visit the Inca Baths of Tambomachay and the military lookout point of Pucapucara, and finally back to Cusco.

- Cusco Tourist Ticket costs 130 soles, approx. US$45*, includes the admission to Cusco folk dances & music at Cusco Art Center in the 3rd block of El Sol Avenue, performing every night from 7:00PM.

Tourist Ticket Rates Foreigners: S./130,00 approx. (US $ 43,00). Students: S/.70,00 approx. (US $ 23,00). (only for students under 26 with ISIC Cards). Children under 10 years are FREE. This ticket does not include the Koricancha-Santo Domingo Complex - separate entrance fee of S/.10 Soles, approx. (US $3,00). Authorized places to purchase the tickets
