| Rafting in the Urubamba river, 2 days. |
|
The Urubamba River starts high up on the Andes near Cusco; it has some interested white water depending on the section being done and the time of the year. One of our most popular routes during the season is the section of the Sacred Valley at the Upper Urubamba, where we have a private campground. Here we have comfortable camping facilities such as thatched-roof for tents, toilets, hot showers, a Sauna and Hot tub. ITINERARY:
Day 1: Our private transportation will pick you up at your hotel, after one and a half hours drive we arrive to the put-in at the shores of the Upper Urubamba River at the campground. Our professional Rafting Guides will give you a safety talk and provide you with all the proper equipment for Rafting. You would be floating for approximately two and a half hours, running Class II & III, introductory type rapids. Afterwards, you arrive to the take-out, a short bus ride will bring us back to campground, where lunch will be served and you can enjoy a relaxing Sauna. Our return to Cusco should be around 5.00PM.
Day 2: After a very good night sleep under the whisper of the river, you will have a good healthy breakfast and drive up river for a second day of exciting whitewater rafting. Today you will be doing Class III & IV rapids, so we will include a safety kayaker. You will spend about two and half hours in the water arriving later to our campground. A Bar-B-Q lunch will be served and we should be back in Cusco around 5:00PM.
